Mission Ministries offer opportunities to grow in faith through service to others. There are opportunities to serve others locally and globally. Here's a brief description to help find one or more that will match your gifts, or challenge you. Food Pantry - pack and
distribute food. As a faith community we
are scheduled twice a year; food is distributed monthly and you can find
members helping each month. Potato Project - picking potatoes to be distributed to the Food Pantries. 30 Hour Famine - youth groups spend 30 hours participating in activities and fasting to help raise awareness and funds for world hunger. Opportunity House & Kennedy House - prepare and serve meals several times a year Habitat for Humanity Help build local homes for low income residents to purchase. Relay for Life annual walk to raise awareness and funds for
cancer held at Kutztown University. Christmas Angels - last year we provided gifts for 90 children which were distributed by Friend Inc. In addition gifts were collected for children in our faith community whose parents are going through tough times. Back Pack Collection- last year the faith community provided 100 back packs for Friend Inc to distribute to children in need. Kits for Church World Service - collected items to create 116 Hygiene Kits and 13 Baby Kits that were delivered to Church World Service to distribute to victims in Haiti. Currently collecting hygiene kits and Clean up Buckets. Thanksgiving / Christmas / Easter collect food to distribute to members in need. In addition to hands on projects Maidencreek Church has a monthly Mission Offering
for a specific cause last year $11,085.00 was donated to local and world
agencies.
